Metal Roof Replacement in Silver Springs, FL

A single-story pale blue stucco home in Silver Springs with arched windows, a salmon-colored front door and an attached garage. The weathered shingle roof came off in late February 2026, and by early March every slope wore bright blue standing seam metal.

What you are looking at

The front drone frame looks down across the main roof toward the entry. A broad hip roof covers the house, and smaller hipped roofs step forward over the arched entry and the front porch. The garage roof comes in from the left, and its upper edge tucks in under the main eave just above an arched window. In full sun the metal reads as a true bright blue against the pale walls.

Seen from straight overhead, the plan of the roof is easy to read. Hips run diagonally out to each outside corner, a back section reaches toward the screened pool enclosure, and the small front roofs jut out toward the front yard. Every surface is the same blue, broken only by a few round vents and pipes on the side and back slopes.

Standing seam panels lock together along raised edges, so each seam stands up as a straight line from the eave to the hip. The close frames over the garage and the front wing also show fine ribs pressed into the flat of every panel, with no exposed screw heads across the flats. Wide blue caps cover the hips where two slopes meet, and white block trim stacks up the corners of the stucco walls below.

Photos Brehm took from the side yard on March 2 show the vents up close. Two hooded vents and a plumbing pipe come up through the slope on the garage side of the house, and all three are blue so they blend into the panels.

Brehm's photos from early February show the roof before the job: weathered shingles with pieces missing in several spots. Photos dated February 27 show the shingles gone and red underlayment, the sheet layer between the wood deck and the metal, covering the roof, with metal panels already on some sections. The white gutters appear in the February photos too, so they were not part of this job.

The lot is fenced in white vinyl, with big oaks hung with Spanish moss along the side and open grass beyond them. Oaks this size shade much of the yard and drop leaves and moss through the year.
