Barrel tile

The rounded Mediterranean tile look Florida loves, without the weight of concrete or clay.

Wood shake

The rugged texture of cedar shake with none of the rot, splitting or upkeep.

The flat, high-end lines of natural slate at a fraction of the weight.

Real work. More to look at.

Stone-coated steel roofing questions.

Useful answers to start with. Your property and proposed scope make the conversation specific.

Talk with Brehm
What is stone-coated steel roofing?

Steel roof panels finished with a coating of stone granules and pressed into the shape of a traditional roof. From the street it reads like tile, shake, slate or a classic shingle. Up close it is steel.

Is Novatik stone-coated steel HOA approved?

Novatik profiles are made to look like the materials HOAs already know, and Brehm got one of the first Novatik roofs approved by an HOA in The Villages. Every community has its own review process, so bring your HOA guidelines to the inspection and we will walk through which profile and color fit.

Which profiles can I choose from?

Four looks: a classic profile, a barrel tile look, a wood shake look and a slate look. We bring real samples so you can see them next to your house instead of picking from a screen.

How long does a stone-coated steel roof last?

It is one of the most durable residential roofs we install and it is built for the long haul. Ask us for the Novatik warranty documents for the exact profile and color you choose so you have the terms in writing.

Can you match my home’s colors?

Yes. Novatik offers a range of colors, so you can match the house, the trim or what the neighbors and your HOA expect.

Where do you want to start?

Choose a starting point and see which questions belong in the conversation.

Your starting point

Start with the curb appeal.

Pick the profile first. Classic, barrel tile, wood shake and slate each change the feel of the house. Then narrow down the color with real samples outside, in daylight.

Your starting point

Get the HOA on board early.

Novatik profiles are made to look like what HOAs already approve, and we have done this in The Villages. Bring your guidelines and we will match the profile and color to them.

Bring this questionWhat does my HOA need to see before I can install?

Your starting point

Steel where it counts.

Stone-coated steel is tough and long-lasting, and it is far lighter than concrete or clay tile. Ask what sits under the panels too: underlayment, flashing and trim finish the system.

Bring this questionWhat is included under the panels, and what warranty comes with it?
